Paint Splash Photo Session
The Paint Splash is excellent fun and a great choice for a birthday photoshoot. It can be used at any age or for a fun photoshoot. but I feel that the Paint Splash is an excellent idea for those looking for photo ideas for the 2nd and 3rd birthdays up.
Very often your toddlers are camera shy at 2 and 3 – and I hear so many customers say that their 2 year olds will not sit still for photos … bring on the paint splash! It’s great as way to capture natural smiles and giggles as they all love messy play … so we get some great fun shots as they mess about with and ‘in’ the paint creating loads of mess and colour. They get to paint a canvas too which you can take home to hang with the photos too if you wish.
As shown below, I use the ivory backdrop for the Paint Splash to keep it light to show off the bright colours – but you can choose another colour if preferred – please ask on booking. The Paint splash can be done for a birthday shoot, or just a fun shoot, and can include siblings – please see below for some images.
Packages start at £199 which includes the photoshoot, paints and canvas, plus prints and a collage / or digital images – please ask for a price list as these prices are not yet shown on our website. Balloons and pompoms can be included at no extra cost. If you have any ideas for a theme or colour scheme, please call to discuss.

Olivia’s First Birthday Cake Smash
Olivia came to our studio to celebrate her first birthday with a cake smash … which we all our ‘HAPPIMESS’ 3-in1 First Birthday Cake Smash photoshoot.
It’s just the funniest way to celebrate the first Birthday…. Letting them loose on a big bright and very gooey cake – what could be more fun? Watching their reactions is priceless.
Olivia’s mum and dad brought along Nana and Grandad too and we did a mini family portrait shoot – just 2-3 pics on a mini backdrop (either taupe or grey) – they chose the grey – pics below … just ask on booking if this is something you would like too.
Olivia started with the ‘I am One photoshoot’. I have some large wooden letters which can be turned to virtually any colour in the post edit – you’ll see lots of different variations in my cake smash gallery – click here to view. And Olivia posed beautifully with these letters.
And then I brought on the cake for her – and she loved it – pulling some very cute and funny faces. Each package INCLUDES one of our standard cakes as shown in the pics in the gallery in a choice of colours (your choice) – made especially extra soft and gooey for maximum mess!! There is the option to order other cakes too for a little extra – all shown on the website together with package costs – click here to view gallery of images and prices.
After the cake, we then put Olivia into our mini roll top bath where she splashed about for ages – she didn’t want to get out even when the bath water went cold!

Musa came to the studio a little late … he was in and out of hospital for the first 6-7 weeks of his life … so he was 8 weeks when he came to see me.
My very favourite time to capture your newborn baby in your Newborn Baby PhotoShoot is between 6 and 12 days as this is a wonderful age as a rule where they sleep well after feeds. Up to 2 weeks is preferred but my Newborn Baby PhotoShoots go up to babies who are 4 weeks young but if your baby is slightly older and still sleeping well after feeds, please feel free to call me to discuss.
So Musa was a little on the ‘too old’ side of newborn … but as you will see from his photos, we got some gorgeous shots … asleep and awake.
If you have not yet had your baby, I recommend that you book in based on your due date and then if this changes, we move your Newborn shoot date. You do not lose your deposit if we do have to rearrange.
My newborn baby photoshoots are very relaxed – you will not be kept waiting – you will be straight in and I make you a brew and we can have a chat about what you’d like from your photo session. My studio is designed to make you feel relaxed and comfortable with lots of soft seating – and also offer chairs next to the newborn shoot area so that you can watch what I am doing all the time.
I offer family shots too in each package at no extra charge, and even if this is something you think you might like, come camera ready just in case :).
I offer the natural shots on blankets with and without props … through to the more creative Newborn Art images. Examples of which can be seen in the gallery of images – Click here. With lockdown restrictions llifted, we’ve been enjoying many a family photoshoot again. Whether you are a family of 4-6, more than one family coming together, want to include grandparents, or would just like some photos of your children looking to camera at the same time, then we can help. We welcome families of any size including large family groups.
Family photo shoots can include babies from any age – you can combine the shoot to include, all family members, siblings and/or the baby or children on their own too.
Our studio is a very comfortable space, designed to make you feel relaxed as soon as you come in.
As a general rule we offer the family portrait photo sessions on a white or light grey backdrop, but we can offer lots of other ideas too – please feel free to discuss any specific requirements you might have with us.
We are happy to offer a Combination Photo Shoot, where we can incorporate family shots one backdrop. and a second option for your little ones.

MATERNITY / PREGNANCY PHOTOSHOOT
“Offering beautiful Natural and Creative Maternity/Pregnancy/Bump photography capturing this wonderful time in your life”
The best time frame for a Pregnancy / Maternity photoshoot is when expecting mothers can enjoy the photo shoot and can still move around with the growing baby snug inside and when bump is full and round … around the 28-36 weeks is a great time for this.
Our Pregnancy / Maternity photoshoots can be all about you as the one with the ’bump’ and / or family members can join in for a few shots too. We have props and gowns which we offer at no extra charge, and you are welcome to bring your own clothes and props too. We love the images which include the scan pic so always a good idea to bring one or 2 of these with you.
We offer the very natural maternity photography, just you and bump OR we can offer a more creative side with butterflies, billowing material and chiffon – examples of which are shown in our image gallery. We would have a chat about your requirements prior to the shoot in our very informal, warm and relaxing studio.

When you think of a idea for a Birthday photoshoot, we nearlly all now think of the cake smash particularly for the 1st birthday. I’ve been doing the cake smash now for 12 years and although it is still a favourite shoot of mine, the Paint Splash is also excellent fun.
