Harry’s Newborn Baby Boy Photo Session
Harry’s Newborn Baby Photo Session at 10 days young
Meet Harry – he came to the studio for his Newborn Baby photo shoot at just 10 days young.
I like to ensure that all newborn photo sessions are very relaxed and I therefore allow up to 3 hours to capture the various newborn poses … I keep the studio very warm and cosy and allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and soothing between these poses.
On arrival, we can discuss the shots that you’d like before we start. I offer the natural shots on blankets with minimal props … through to the very elaborate and creative newborn art images. A lot of these can be seen on the website – click here to view image gallery
My favourite time to capture your newborn baby is between 6 and 12 days and I class my newborn sessions as up to 4 weeks young. This is the best time to capture the super cute, curled up shots before they start becoming more alert and not sleeping so well after feeds.

If you have not yet had your baby … I recommend booking your newborn photo session based on your due date. This can be changed if necessary once your little bundle of joy arrives.
I do have a very comfortable newborn studio, however, if you would like me to bring my studio set up to you, I can and just need your postcode to give you a cost for travel and set up.

Freya’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash
Freya’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash
Meet little Miss Freya celebrating her 1st Birthday with us in the studio with a 3-in-1 Happimess session to include the Cake Smash. I just love the grey, white and pink colour scheme – cake and all props provided by us.
The session started with the I am One shoot with the giant wooden letters. I can change the letters to any colour as you will see on the website gallery page. Changed her to pink and grey to co-ordinate with overall colour scheme. Freya also had a very good time with all the balloons prior to the Cake Smash.
Once Freya had finished her Cake Smash … We then put her into our posing roll top baby bath, put the bubbles on and let her relax and play in the tub … she loved it – loved the bubbles and the splashing. It really was such a good time had by all of us … me included.

Nelli-May’s Newborn Photo Session at 12 days young
Nelli-May came to the studio at 12 days young for her Newborn Baby Photo Session. She was very interested in what was going on around her and there wasn’t a lot of sleeping going on for her curled up shots. But we still got some gorgeous images.
My newborn photo sessions are very relaxed and I allow up to 3 hours to capture the various newborn poses … I keep the studio very warm and cosy and allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and soothing between these poses.

1st Birthday Cake Smash Themed
Sophia’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash – Minnie Mouse theme
Meet Sophia, a big Minnie Mouse fan … celebrating her 1st Birthday with us in the studio with a 3-in-1 Happimess session to include Miinnie Mouse and the Cake Smash!
First of all we used our new girly pink letters spelling ‘One’ which she posed beautifully with as you can see from the pics below.
Sophia’s colour scheme for the cake smash was chosen as all grey white and pink with a splash of gold – Her cake was made to with the Minnie Mouse theme at no extra charge to her mum. As soon as we gave her the cake, she got really stuck in. She really did have such a good time and the whole session was full of her smiles and giggles.
Once Sophia had finished his Cake Smash … We then put her into our posing roll top baby bath, put the bubbles on and her little face – she was in awe of the bubbles and made us all laugh a lot throughout.

Happimess – 1st Birthday Cake Smash
Max’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash
Meet Mr CutiePie Max celebrating his 1st Birthday with us in the studio with a 3-in-1 Happimess session to include the Cake Smash. Max had a wonderful time with us and thoroughly enjoyed his little self – as you will see from his pics below …

Max’s colour scheme for the cake smash was chosen as all blues and whites – His cake was made to match and we supply pompoms, balloons and bunting to all tone in. As soon as we gave him his cake, he got really stuck in. He just loved it … He was huge smiles and giggles the whole way through.
I really love this blue and white themed and as you will see I made the big letters blues when in actual fact they are orange, limegreen and purple.
Once Max had finished his Cake Smash … We then put him into our posing roll top baby bath, put the bubbles on and let him relax and play in the tub … he loved it – loved the bubbles and the splashing. It really was such a good time had by all of us … me included.

A Gift Voucher for a family photo session is such a very thoughtful gift. Your family get the experience and the fun of it all … and then the memories captured for always.
Family shoots can include babies from 5 to 6 months old and any age. They can include grandparents, other family members and their children – so large family groups can be accommodated.

At Shy Violet Photography, we now have 2 wonderful studios … and as a general rule offer the family shoots on a white backdrop … but we have a range of colours and ideas.
We are happy to offer a Combination Photo Shoot, where we can incorporate family shots on the white and another option for your little ones – ideas are Bubbles Shoot, Vintage Shoot, Fun Shoot on a Colour of your choice using balloons, pompoms, bunting.
If the weather is good, we can always go into the woods in the studio grounds to get some lovely outdoor shots.

Teeney Weeney Annalise came to the studio at just 6 days young for her Newborn Photo Session. And what a well behaved little newborn baby girl she was for us, sleeping soundly for all her shots.

Leo’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash
Leo’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash
Meet little Mr SuperCute Leo, celebrating his 1st Birthday with us in the studio with a 3-in-1 Happimess session to include the Cake Smash. Leo thoroughly enjoyed himself through out the whole session as you can see from his pics below.
We call our Cake Smash sessions our 3-in-1 ‘Happimess’ session as we do 3 shoots as one to celebrate the 1st Birthday. Leo’s mum had brought with them all his 12 month baby pics and a blue no. 1 – so we took pics of this first … shown below. Then after this we introduced our giant wooden letters spelling ‘One’ which he posed beautifully with. I can change the letters to any colour as you will see on the website gallery page. I use the letters shoot to get your baby used to me, the studio and the studio flash lights.
Leos’ colour scheme for the cake smash was chosen and designed around his outfit – His cake was blue with mint green, white and grey discs and pompoms, balloons and bunting to all tone in. As soon as we gave him his cake, he got really stuck in. He just loved it … first of all tasting the gooey thick icing, then the icing discs – and then we showed Leo that it wasn’t really for eating but for smashing up – and gave him a large wooden spoon to help him smash it up. Leo was huge smiles and giggles the whole way through.
I just love his first cake smash pic … it’s as if he’s thinking … “OK big cake, lots of sugar … where’s the catch?” Pic shown below in this blog.
