Thomas’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash PhotoShoot
I call our Cake Smash PhotoShoot our 3-in-1 ‘Happimess’ photoshoot as I do 3 shoots as one to celebrate the 1st Birthday.
And as a celebration of the end of lockdown since April 202 I also offer a mini family photo shoot prior to the start of this Happimess photo session.
So here is how it works …. After the family pics … We start off with our wooden letters spelling ‘One’. I have some large wooden letters which can be turned to virtually any colour in the post edit – you’ll see lots of different variations in my cake smash gallery – click here to view. I also have a large floral ‘1’ for the girls, and smaller wooden letters if preferred. We discuss which you’d like to use at the start of every session. Thomas shown below wanted his favourite teddy Foxy to join in too 🙂
And then I bring on the cake … each package INCLUDES one of our standard cakes as shown in the pics below in a choice of colours (your choice) – but you can order other cakes too for a little extra – all shown on the website together with package costs – click here to view. Thomas loved his cake smash and had the best time – he pulled some great faces and giggled a lot which kept us all laughing throughout.
Once your little one has had enough of cake smashing, we then put them into my posing roll top baby bath, leaving as much cake on them as poss to start with … put the bubbles on and let them enjoy themselves. Thomas thoroughy enjoyed this bit too and we go some great pics here too.
These photo shoots are fab! Sooooo much fun for your baby and for you as the parents … and for me too!

My very favourite time for your Newborn Baby Photoshoot is between 6 and 12 days as this is a wonderul time to capture the gorgeous, curled up shots that we all love …. before they start becoming more alert and not sleeping so well after feeds.
My Newborn Baby Photoshoots are for babies up to 4 weeks young but with lockdown restrictions, it’s meant that shoots were postponed and I have been photographing newborns up to 13 weeks old with great success. So even if you think your newborn might be too old for the shoot, please give me a call to discuss.
My newborn photo shoots are very relaxed in a lovely warm and friendly environment, so that you not only get the images you will love forever, but you’ll enjoy the experience too.
On arrival, we can discuss the shots that you’d like before we start. I offer the natural shots on blankets with minimal props … through to the more creative Newborn Art images. If you have not yet had your baby … I recommend booking your newborn photo session based on your due date. This can be changed if necessary once your little bundle of joy arrives.

I just love Baby Photography – from all ages …
I do think that the 5-6 months stage is a great age and many call these the ‘Sitter’ shoots. Your baby is learning to sit up and although perhaps not able to sit up unaided, we have baby chairs that can help with this, and PhotoShop which can edit out arms making sure they don’t fall. And at this age, personality is really taking shape and it’s an age of lots of smiles and giggles.
My studio photo sessions are very relaxed in a lovely warm, bright and airy environment, specially designed so that it looks like a soft play area for your baby – many soft toys and props are on show in the studio so you have lots of choice for your photoshoot. You will not only get the images you will love forever, but you will really enjoy the experience too.
In a Baby Photo Shoot I provide chairs, suitcases, pails and other props such as ‘rocking horse’, hats, balloons …. lots and lots of choice for you … many of which can be seen in the gallery of images on the Baby Photo Shoot Page – click here to view.
On arrival, we discuss the shots that you’d like before we start. Family Photo Shoot

With lockdown restrictions llifted, more families than before are wanting to celebrate their family. And we’ve been helping them with a fun and happy Family Photo Shoot.
Whether you are a family of 4-6, more than one family coming together, want to include grandparents, or would just like some photos of your children looking to camera at the same time, then we can help.
Family shoots can include babies from any age – you can combine the shoot to include, all family members, siblings and/or the baby or children on their own too.
With our new studio, we have plenty of room for lots and lots of you … big airy space wth lots of soft seating – a very comfortable space, designed to make you feel relaxed as soon as you come in.
As a general rule we offer the family portrait photo sessions on a white or light grey backdrop, but we can offer lots of other ideas too – please feel free to discuss any specific requirements you might have with us.
We are happy to offer a Combination Photo Shoot, where we can incorporate family shots one backdrop. and a second option for your little ones.
You could just choose a second colour for a combination shoot, or have some fun for the little ones and include balloons, pompoms, bunting, chairs, hats, rocking horses and lots more.

The 1st Birthday is a very important one and I although I love the 1st Birthday Cake Smash Photoshoot as these are just so much fun for all of us – I do know that it’s not for all.
But you can still commemorate their 1st Birthday with a fun, happy PhotoShoot. I have absolutely lots of lovely ideas – a few of which are shown below. We can still use the wooden letters spelling ‘ONE’ – of which I have a few to choose from and a limitless number of colours for you. Then we can use pompoms, balloons, bunting, various chairs (one that spins round and is great fun for all ages) and other props that I have for some gorgeous fun shots, then we can introduce some bubbles and a vintage pail and let them have some fun in here too. Or we can do a simpler shoot and have little to no props 🙂
You can choose any combination of ideas, backdrops and props – many of which are on view in the studio for you to choose from on arrival.
