Baby Photo Shoot – 5 – 10 months
I specialise in Baby Photography and I just love the 5-10 months stage in baby’s development – it’s such a special time, where personality is forming and smiles and giggles are easy to achieve. Perhaps they are even sitting up unaided. I know a lot of people missed the newborn shoot as a result of Covid 19 … but this stage in their development is just as special.
I have some wonderful baby photo shoot backdrops in grey, taupe and cream and on booking we can discuss your choice of outfits/colours. And I have some gorgeous little baby chairs too – shown here by Nate, aged 8 months. Even if you baby is not sitting up unaided, with the luxury of ‘Photoshop’ at our finger tips, all supporting hands can be edited out of final shots.
My studio is based in Springhead in Saddleworth, near Oldham. it is a self containted studio and I have the appropriate measures in place for Covid 19. You will be the only customer present – there will be no overlap, and I have masks, hand santiser, soaps etc to keep us all safe.
My baby photo shoot studio is very warm and cosy and full of comfy seating and teddies, large and small … putting your baby immediately at ease – it’s very bright and airy and stays very bright throughout the entire shoot.
I have 3 Sale Packages publsihed on my website – click here to view. This link takes you to my baby page where not only will you see info and prices, but many images showing you my style and some of my ideas for baby photograqphy. You do not have to book a package, you can book the session for £39 and then choose your own package once you have viewed all your images. Photos as Christmas Gifts will mean more to everyone this year. Many of us have missed seeing children and loved ones, so what better present than some fun, smiling shots of the ones you miss the most.
I have some wonderful photo shoot backdrops in grey, taupe and cream and on booking we can discuss your choice of outfits/colours. And I have some gorgeous little baby chairs too – together with a little log christmas tree (new for 2020) – all shown in pics below.

Albie’s Cake Smash Photo Shoot
Albie’s Cake Smash Photo Shoot
This is the supercute Albie celebrating his 1st Birthday with us in the studio with our 3-in-1 Happimess session which included the cake smash.
I call our Cake Smash sessions our 3-in-1 ‘Happimess’ session as we do 3 shoots as one to celebrate the 1st Birthday. Albie started off with giant wooden letters spelling ‘One’ but we think he just wanted his cake so we rushedthrough this bit!! . And then we brought on the cake … Albie was hilarious – he pulled so many funny faces and kept scrunching up his little nose in delight. He ate his body weight in cake which alot of them do as our cakes are far too delicious, but he smashed it to pieces too.
Once he’d had enough of cake smashing, we then put him into our posing roll top baby bath, leaving as much cake on him as poss to start with … put the bubbles on and let him enjoy himself – which he did – big big smiles and giggles in the tub. Ablie made us all laugh a lot throughout his photo shoot.
I thoroughly enjoy our cake smash sessions – they are so much fun for your baby and for you as the parents … and for me too!
Following Albie’s photo session with Shy Violet Photography, a Gallery of approx 60 images was uploaded to our Customer Only GALLERY website where her parents were able to view her images and choose their faves from here – they chose Package C – 20 digital images for £199.00

Stanley’s Cake Smash Photo Shoot
This is Stanley celebrating his 1st Birthday with us in the studio with our 3-in-1 Happimess session which included the cake smash.
I call our Cake Smash sessions our 3-in-1 ‘Happimess’ session as we do 3 shoots as one to celebrate the 1st Birthday. Stanley started off with giant wooden letters spelling ‘One’. And then we brought on the cake … Stanley was very serious throughout the cake smash in the main. He ate his body weight in cake but had his concentrating face on for most of the cake smash photo shoot.
Once he’d had enough of cake smashing, we then put him into our posing roll top baby bath, leaving as much cake on him as poss to start with … put the bubbles on and let him enjoy himself – which he did – big big smiles and giggles in the tub.
I thoroughly enjoy our cake smash sessions – they are so much fun for your baby and for you as the parents … and for me too!

My newborn sessions are for babies up to 4 weeks young and my very favourite time to capture your newborn baby is between 5-6 and 12 days as this is the best time to capture the gorgeous, curled up shots before they start becoming more alert and not sleeping so well after feeds.
I like to ensure that my newborn photo sessions are very relaxed and I therefore allow up to 3 hours to capture the various newborn poses … I keep the studio warm and cosy and allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and soothing between these poses.
On arrival, we can discuss the shots that you’d like before we start. I offer the natural shots on blankets with minimal props … through to the more creative Newborn Art images. If you have not yet had your baby … I recommend booking your newborn photo session based on your due date. This can be changed if necessary once your little bundle of joy arrives.
I do have a very comfortable newborn studio, however, if you would like me to bring my studio set up to you, I can and just need your postcode to give you a cost for travel and set up.
ALL sessions can include sibling and family shots if you wish and very often I encourage the a famiy shot or 2 even if you’re not planning on it as it’s a moment in time that you’ll want to treasure.
Package prices (as shown on our website) can include family and sibling shots … and as many props as you like and all editing/retouching required. We discuss in full your requirements at the start of your session. There are no hidden costs, there is nothing more to pay if you book one of our packages, unless of course you would like additional images – you can request to see my price list for additional images prior to booking. This is Arielle, celebrating her 1st Birthday with us in the studio with our 3-in-1 Happimess session – including cake smashing!
I call our Cake Smash sessions our 3-in-1 ‘Happimess’ session as we do 3 shoots as one to celebrate the 1st Birthday. So little Arielle started off with a few pics of her with a fairy wand the customers brought with them for her. This was then followed with our giant wooden letters spelling ‘One’. And then we brought on the cake … and oh my goodness Arielle absolutely loved it – so gung-ho and smashed it to pieces – hilarious and we all spent most of shoot laughing.
Once she’d had enough of cake smashing, we then put her into our posing roll top baby bath, leaving as much cake on her as poss to start with … put the bubbles on and let her enjoy her little self. She really loved it – a lot of very serious-faced splashing inthe tub.
I just love our cake smash sessions – they are genuinely such great fun for your baby and for you as the parents … and for me too!
