We had no idea what we wanted, we just knew we wanted baby photos. Gaynor suggested we do a combination shoot and we chose a baby portrait session followed by a bubbles in a tub session – which Alfie just loved. We got some great photos and look at them all fondly now they are on our walls.
Had an absolute amazing day. I contacted Gaynor with regards to a 1st Birthday Cake Smash photo shoot and luckily there was a slot for me for the following week. A very professional, friendly lady with lots and lots of patience. Even with a 1yr old trying to rob the camera to look at photographs before hand Gaynor remained very professional, even showed her a few. Everything that I had envisioned for my little girl's day Gaynor pulled off with much much more to offer. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for such a memorable day.
Such an amazing lady. I have three very mischievious boys and a baby and i was dreading it to be honest but Gaynor made us feel at ease and didn’t mind that my boys were not in particularly good moods that day. Laughed it off in the end! And then baby Mias cake smash was just wonderful! Had fun laughed smashed cake whats not to love about that!

I have a real job keeping my Dalmation still for a second or 2 but Gaynor has tricks and treats which helped her capture many many photos for me … so many I found it very difficult to choose. In the end I opted for a 6 image collage which is just amazing – I love it! Thank you Gaynor
Gaynor is mad about dogs and it really shows. We took our little shih tzu Bertie for some photos and the results were fantastic. Bertie really took to Gaynor and was so well behaved for her – I was amazed! Got a fab Christmas shot too for my Christmas card – thank you SO MUCH Gaynor.
We took my little girl to see Gaynor at the age of 3 months – she wasn’t in a good mood at all and cried for so much of the session, so both my husband and I were stunned when we saw the beautiful images Gaynor had achieved. We have already booked in the Cake Smash with Gaynor for her 1st Birthday later this year.

I booked my son Harvey for a cake smash for his first birthday. He was more interested in eating the cake than the camera but Gaynor managed to capture some beautiful & comical photos of him. He was tired and cranky come bath time but managed to get one smile while in the tub. She is an amazing photographer and also such a lovely lady, she gives off such a warming and caring vibe. I’d always wanted nude photos done, but always felt awkward even to make the booking. So I couldn’t believe how relaxed Gaynor made me feel when we met for a consultation and throughout the session. Gaynor is very discreet and ensured I was comfortable with everything we were doing. The photos are absolutely amazing. I’d booked for 5 photos, but I ended up having a book of 14 pics! The prices are reasonable and the book is just out of this world if I do say so myself! Definitely recommend 100%
Thank you for such a fab experience yesterday, I was quite stressed about getting naked for my maternity shoot as you know, but you made it such fun and we were all so relaxed. We all had a wonderful time and you are such a warm and bubbly person. I am just so excited to see the pictures now.
Have always wanted photos of my baby but wasn’t sure what I really wanted – Gaynor offered me a combination shoot where we did some studio pics and then we went outside and into the woods and had brilliant fun in the sunshine. Got so many wonderful photographs of my Ruby – cannot recommend Gaynor highly enough and Ruby just loved her.
Can’t thank Gaynor enough for my newborn photo shoot! She was absolutely brilliant with my little girl, extremely patient. It took us about an hour and a half to get my daughter to sleep ready for her shoot, but I didn’t feel rushed in any way whatsoever. I am very awkward in front of a camera and I always look very nervous with wild eyes in most photos. However, I booked in for some headshots with Gaynor and she made me feel so relaxed and kept making me laugh – so I really did end up with some very natural and great photos. We booked in for a newborn photo shoot for my baby girl when she was 10 days old, and took our 7 year old to join in. Gaynor did an amazing job on the day, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and nothing was rushed. Lots of great ideas and outfits were tried on, and the end pictures blew us away, they’re absolutely amazing, we love them. I can’t recommend Gaynor enough, I’m sure we’ll be back for more photo’s in the future!
Gaynor took some great shots of my son for his new portfolio – one of his headshots was used on the cover of the agency’s magazine. Prices are very reasonable compared to others in this area and we were both really pleased with Liam’s pictures.
My daughter had a first birthday cake smash and we enjoyed the session from beginning to end. She was teething and a little grizzly but as soon as the cake came out everything changed. Gaynor’s ideas and poses for boudoir are very tasteful and I’d been looking for a boudoir photographer for ages before I found Shy Violet. I booked in and had my hair and make up done at the studio, and during this we chatted about the shots I wanted and props we would use. By the time it came to actually taking the photos I wasn’t at all nervous and can honestly say I enjoyed the whole thing. The pictures are just beautiful and although editing has been done, I still look like me, just me at my best. Couldn’t be happier with the results.
